A recent 2018 study performed by students of the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business in Trinidad and Tobago revealed that the most profitable industry for international trade between Trinidad & Tobago and Colombia was Fashion, Textile and Apparel.
"From a total of 750 questionnaires disseminated in Colombia, 531 responses were collected; with the highest response rate; (231) 43.5% of the total population originating from Medellin. This data further revealed that over half of the Colombian Sample (52.5%) and a major 35% of the Trinidadian sample that were open to the idea of business facilitation belonged to the Textile, Fashion and Fabrication Industry. "

The main reasons Colombian internationals chose was Ease of Doing Business with 33% followed closely by Proximity to market with 31.5%. The third reason was Skilled workforce with 25%

The main response with a vast majority was larger population with 60.1% followed by proximity to the market with 39.9%.
